Hi all,
I sit in my new college's Library on my second day of college and the second day of my first job... after-hours cleaning
, writing the first lines of my first blog - it's a time of new starts and new things for me so without further ado...
Well what's my blog all about "I hear you all saying", well I don't because I'd be crazy then seen as no one is here - it's a secret blog you see. Basically I'm a creative kinda guy and feel like it's time I do something about it, I've just passed both english Lang and Lit with an A at GCSE level and Art at an A*, but I won't be continuing these courses further so I'll channel my creative juices here - all over you lot 
As I was saying, for a few years I've been thinking about writing for myself purely for entertainment this hasn't really come about, as I've lacked the motivation, so making a blog about it all and posting up my meagre efforts should force me to get off my ass. I'm an eager reader of anything that takes my fantasy, mostly fantasy novels but I've also recently expanded into the sci-fi field; other influences include the background behind Warhammer 40,000 a "Heroic 28mm scale tabletop wargame" set, believe it or not in the 41st century. Predicatbly for the literary type of teenager I'm also a PC gamer so everything from the classics of Fallout 2 and Severance to the newer STALKER and EVE Online affects my imaginary worlds on a daily basis.
All this imaginative stuff has meant that I've never really pinned down just exactly what it is I intend to write about, so I have half finished short stories and scribbled maps all over the place around my home and on my PC. The closest approximation I can give you is some sort of cyberpunk-inspired grunge and grit filled world, alternatively I might go for a high-tech society fractured by a total loss of global communications. I aim to write a functional history and fairly complete background before I go off writing about Jonas the Bounty Hunter and his pet rabbit-monkey hybrid (not a character I have hopes for but all the more exciting for it). Aside from all the writing I hope to be making some maps and sketches etc which I'll place up here in a gallery if that tools avaliable or on photobucket or some such.
Outside of all this I wouldn't mind improving my writing skills in terms of fiction but also just conversationally etc... ohh and to get a better grasp of what makes a blogger, that would be I, and blog readers, that would be you, tick.
Hmm copyright, anyone know just how I can handle that because I appreciate my hardwork staying just that - mine. Disclaimer advice might be handy too because some of my characters, in the vein of sci-fi immortal shall be rather... fruity with thier language and more than abit bigotted - someone has to be the evil one right? Blogging adivce in general would be nice too... contact e-mails shall be part of my "About Me" section.
So for now that shall be all, I have a college to clean!! *Changes into his super-man suit*
